Overnight, working from home has become the norm. For some organisations this is a case of more of the same, for others it’s a fundamental shift in how they engage with colleagues and customers alike.
Here at Kick we’re in the fortunate position where we’ve had a range of colleagues working remotely for a number of years and have had a relatively smooth transition to increase this to 100% of our workforce in recent days.
One of the key reasons we can make this work is Microsoft Teams. We’ve got some great experience of the Teams application, how to embed it in an organisation and how to realise the collaboration benefits this brings.
In this blog, we’ll share with you our secrets for making Teams work and help you get one step further along the road to become a modern workplace.
Let’s get started
We recommend taking a couple of teams within your organisation and positioning them up as early adopters – we find that IT, marketing and digital teams tend to be a good place to start. You can then use the insights gained from roll out to these teams to refine the adoption process for wider use across the business – and you’ll also quickly have some teams evangelists in the business to call upon.
What can I do in Teams?
We should probably have covered this at the start…Teams allows you to collaborate with people across and outside your organisation, hold conversations, work together on shared documents and progress projects. Meetings and calls can be arranged and delivered in the app and it will quickly become your hub for all your usual Office 365 needs – and it’s available seamlessly across desktop and mobile, hosted securely in the cloud.
Other considerations
Make sure your network is ready, including Office 365, OneDrive and SharePoint.
Everyone needs a Teams licence and at Kick we can help you here. Our Microsoft Gold Partner gives us access to free licences which we can provision to help your organisation get started.
Take time to understand the benefits across desktop, web and mobile clients.
